A Successful Calamity

1932, Comedy
After a year away in Europe, successful financier Henry Wilton (George Arliss) is finally returning home to his wife, Emmy (Mary Astor), daughter Peggy (Evalyn Knapp) and son Eddie, only to discover their lifestyle leaves them much too busy to spend any time together as a family. In a ploy to keep everyone together, Wilton lies about his wealth and announces he's financially ruined. As expected, his family rallies to support his supposed losses, but how long can he keep the charade up?
