The Street: A Film With the Homeless

1997, Other
Over the course of six years, filmmaker Daniel Cross follows three homeless men who eke out their existences in downtown Montreal, Canada. John Claven is new to the streets, although his substance-addicted brother, Danny, has been living rough for nearly a decade and a half, having left home at the age of 11. The brothers' streetwise mentor is elderly alcoholic Frank O'Malley, a lifelong drifter who remains defiantly homeless despite his serious health problems.
