Place of Weeping
In apartheid South Africa, an overweight white farmer (Charles Comyn) treats his black workers with a merciless brutality. When he catches one of them stealing poultry to feed his starving family, he angrily thrashes him to death. Confident he has intimidated his employees into keeping quiet, he is surprised when one black woman (Gcina Mhlophe) stands up to him. Powerless on her own, she enlists the help of a white journalist (James Whylie) from Johannesburg in her quest for retribution.
