When Carlos Drummond de Andrade, one of Brazil's most respected poets, died in 1987, he left behind a hidden cache of erotic poetry that seemed at odds with his normally measured work. Director Heddy Honigmann explores Brazil's relationship with his sexually explicit verse by walking through Rio de Janeiro and asking elderly passersby to recite de Andrade's poetry. His provocative imagery inspires them to reminisce about their own sexual adventures, past loves and long-forgotten memories.
