My Knees Were Jumping: Remembering the Kindertransports

My Knees Were Jumping: Remembering the Kindertransports

1995, Other
Directed by Melissa Hacker and narrated by Joanne Woodward, this documentary tells the story of some of the many children who were transported safely out of Germany by Allied troops. Although these boys and girls were rescued from death at the hands of the Nazis, they had to deal with separation from their parents and sometimes other siblings, memories that these Holocaust survivors tearfully recall as adults, who, in many cases, were never reunited with their families.
