In 1959, in Kansas, two cold-blooded robbers broke into a farmhouse looking for money and killed the family so there would be no witnesses. But they were caught anyway and attracted the attention of writer Truman Capote. He turned their story into the acclaimed book In Cold Blood and developed an understanding of the men. In this biographical drama, Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the eccentric Capote - and won an Oscar for his efforts. Catherine Keener co-stars as fellow writer Harper Lee, who joined Capote on his initial investigations for the book.
